Sugar Maple Bowl
Birdseye maple, one of the rarest kinds of wood on the planet, has a distinctive pattern that looks like tiny, swirling eyes disrupting the smooth lines of grain. Birds-eye maple is a form of figured hard maple, it is not a variety or species of maple. What actually causes the phenomenon is still unknown. Birdseye figure is predominantly found in sugar maple and rarely in other species.
Beautiful Sugar Maple Bowl with a hint of Birdseye as well. The grain and pattern in this 7.5" bowl are complemented by a satin sheen and softness to the touch. A great piece to hold food, deorative elements, keys, and so much more! Food safe oil is applied.
Care: Wipe clean with damp cloth, dry immediatly. Do not soak in water. If needed this bowl can be refinished with any type of countertop or cutting board oil.
