Yew!

Yew!  Yes, Yew is a species of tree!  It is an uncommon species and it usually used for veneers, musical instruments and turned items.  Yew trees were used at one time as symbols of immortality, but also seen as omens of doom.  For many centuries it was the custom for yew branches to be carried on Palm Sunday and at funerals.  Quite the history!  This bowl in particular has a vibrant orange and yellow coloration, balanced with dark, tight grain patterns.  The pattern in the grain reads several of its own depictions left up to the beholder.  With a soft outflowing shape this bowl is perfect for fruit, salad, or popcorn on movie night!
